Wendy Sage-Hayward, M.A.
Wendy Sage-Hayward, is the co-founder of SAGE Leadership Advisers Inc., a Vancouver-based leadership coaching and consulting company. She has 20+ years of experience in rebuilding and strengthening leadership and family teams to help them function as effective stewards of their business and family enterprise. Her experience is centered on creating conscious leadership to deepen the connection between a leader’s vision and values and their leadership presence. Her passion is to strengthen an individual’s core sense of self and create authentic and honest conversations between people in business and in families. She specializes in the “tough” cases such as derailing executives and business families in high conflict.
Wendy earned a Masters degree in Counselling Psychology at the University of British Columbia. She is trained as an ontological coach by the Newfield Institute and holds certificates from the Institute of Corporate Governance and UBC Sauder’s Business Families Centre. Wendy is currently enrolled in a post-graduate program at Middlesex University in the Neuroscience of Leadership where she is studying how neuroscience informs the art of leadership.
Wendy teaches at UBC’s Sauder School of Business in the Business Families Centre and Executive Education where she is also a member of the Professional Advisory Council. Wendy previously taught in the Director Education Program at the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management. She sits on the Board of her family business which has been in operation for 125 years.
Wendy has been a speaker at several conferences across Canada and in the US including most recently at the Attorney General’s Leadership Conference for Criminal Justice and the CICA Conference on Succession Planning. She works across industry at the local, regional and international level.
Jessica Sage, M.A.
Jessica Sage is a communications specialist and leadership coach. Her passion is to coach employees, managers and family businesses to enhance performance and experience a greater sense of fulfillment in the workplace. Her work philosophy is to empower individuals to provoke creative solutions, meaningful action and more powerful results. Jessica’s main focus resides in coaching emerging leaders to discover their unique strengths, clarify their direction, and incorporate that learning into their own leadership style.
Jessica earned her Masters degree in Organizational and Corporate Communications from Emerson College in Boston, Massachusetts and is a certified coach through The Coaches Training Institute in California. She is trained in various assessment tools used to increase self-awareness and understanding of natural communication styles.
Jessica works with public and private sectors across industries. Jessica is also a partner in a 125 year old family business located in the USA.
Peter Wheatley
Peter is a leadership and organizational professional and coach who creates thoughtful and engaging learning experiences for leaders, their teams and organizations. As a facilitator, he leads with warmth and humour, which brings the learning experience to life and consistently delivers on the objectives. As a coach, he utilizes a brain based approach that rests on a solid theoretical framework that explains how and why coaching works, drawing from neuroscience, with support from systems and change theory.

Peter spent a number of years developing his approaches in the UK with the international leadership development organization Common Purpose, where he was lead facilitator on multi-day local, regional and national leadership development programs. That experience led him to Leadership Vancouver, where as Executive Director he modernized the curriculum and delivered the acclaimed 11-day program. Prior to joining Concentrix Solutions, Peter was a Leadership Advisor with Vancouver Coastal Health who specialized in leadership and team development.
Peter graduated from the University of Northern British Columbia as a founding student, has undergone extensive professional training and is qualified in a number of assessment tools. He is enrolled in the Business Family Advising program at UBC’s Sauder School of Business and has been a conference speaker and guest lecturer on leadership at SFU.
